Essex Motor Factors was started in 1991 in Witham in the midst of a recession and as a Motaquip distributor.

Before this, Managing Director Christine worked in the stock market and Sales Director Trevor Little as an AA patrolman.

His knowledge of the local garage scene in Essex allowed the business to grow and add a second branch in 1993, before adding a third site in 2001.

The company then moved away from Motaquip and rebranded as Essex Motor Factors, with the
slogan: Let us handle your parts.

Over time, the business grew and diversified. Today,
Essex Motor Factors has 31 staff and operates 18 vans.

We provide a fast and efficient parts supply for car and light commercial vehicles to local traders from our three distribution sites in mid Essex.

In a market that is continuously changing we recognise that for our customers to succeed it is vital to embrace changes in the industry and take on new challenges.
